In my city one can get around using either buses or trams. Their timetables are synchronized, so it's very easy to plan a jurney using both means of transport. The public transport in my city was born in the 50's. At the beginning there were only 3 buses which travelled on short routes. Nowadays, it's completely different. There are hundreds of buses and quite a few trams. Both the buses and the trams in my city are very comfortable and modern. However, prices of tickets are not very cheap. More and more people use the public transport every day. It's more convenient than having to drive you car in a traffic jam. I think that at least 50% of the population goes to work by bus or tram. I think they're doing the right thing! It's good both for the city and for the environment.
