Thomas Alva Edison was born on february 11, 1847, in Milan Ohio. Contrary to popular belief, Thomas Edison was not born into poverty . He is the seventh and last child of Samuel Edison  and Nancy Elliot. He did not learn to talk until he was almost four years of age.

In his childhood, Edison started school late, because he got an illness. Three months later, Edison was removed from school, because he could not pay attention to his teacher. He considered stupid by his teacher. His mother, who was a teacher in Canada He was taught reading, writing, and arithmetic by his mother at home. his mother also helped him become motivated. Thomas like reading the dictionary of science. He also like made an experiments at home. His mother made a small laboratory for him. When thomas was 13 years old he contracted scarlet fever, the effect of  its, he got hearing loss.

When Edison was 12 thirteen, he took a job as a newsboy, selling newspapers and candy on the local railroad. He seems to have spent much of his free time reading scientific, and technical books.

Of all the learned edison applied the lesson by experimenting on his laboratory. Edison lived in his laboratory, only sleep four hours a day. On his experiment he has a lot of experienced failures. He was not bored with his failure. With such failure, he actually know how to thousands of light do not turn on. He had world record on his lamp bulb.

 Thomas Edison died on october 18  1931 in New Jersey. He was 84 years of age. Shortly before passing away. Thomas edison like "Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration."
