Even though the people in Britain all have different accents, different cultural backgrounds and different views, and even different languages, they are still all part of an island race, whose culture and customs are mixed so well together that they produce a British identity.
To understand Britain, however, its people tell you, takes many visits. Bearing in mind their inability to say what they mean, this probably translates as:” Although we regard tourism as rather undesirable, we put up with it because we need the business the visitors are bringing in”.

Jak to bywa z Włochami i Finami, prawda o Brytyjczykach jest, oczywiście, bardziej skomplikowana. Jakkolwiek, pewne uogólnienia mogą zostać poczynione. Wielka Brytania jest wyspą- fakt nie zmieniony przez konstrukcję Kanału- i nie została podbita od 1066r. Z tego powodu Wielka Brytania i Brytyjczycy pozostaje swoistą indywidualnością.

Mimo że Brytyjczycy mają różne akcenty, różne zaplecze kulturowe i różne pogląday, a nawet różne języki, nadal są częścią "wyspiennej" rasy, której kultura i zwyczaje są połączone i razem tworzą brytyjską tożsamość.
