Batik fabric is traditional fabric of indonesia which has a value of art, beauty, and its has own characteristic of each pattern / motif.
Usually, it takes 3 different way to make it. First is written batik. It used Canting as a pen and Lilin/Malam as an ink. Second is stamp batik. It used a stamp with a carving of motive there. Third is print batik. This is the easier batik, because it only use a computer and a printer (for a cloth) for make the motive. After make the motive, we usually dyeing the fabric with bright colors and then dyeing with the dark colors. Then, drying batik fabric with sunlight.
Traditional batik motifs are of two kinds, namely: Motif Geometric and Non-Geometric. each area has a motif that is different which is influenced by the culture of the region itself. for example, in the town of Pekalongan has a distinctive motif like, motif kawung, Seno, Jlamprang. and usually each region has a color characteristic of each other.
