Angielski klasa 6 zad3 str29 Project 3 Answer the questions: 1. How many planets are there? 2. What happened to pluto? 3. What is the Sun? 4. What is the name of our galaxy? 5. Why can't anything live on Venus? 6. What is Jupiter's red spot? 7. Why can't a spaceship land on Saturn
1. Until just a few years ago, there were 9 planets in the Solar System. However, the International Astronomical Union decided that Pluto is no longer a planet, so there are now only 8 planets in the Solar System. 2. Pluto is no longer considered a planet. It has been demoted and is now called a dwarf planet. Because Pluto did not clear its orbit of all other objects, it is not considered a planet anymore.
3. The sun, which sits in the center of our solar system, is a medium-size star. As we all know, the sun provides us with light and warmth; however, as the largest body in our solar system, the sun plays an additional important role.
4. Our galaxy is known as the Milky Way galaxy.
5. Well planet Earth is the most habitable planet for life, that we know of. To have life there needs to be water, oxygen, suitable climate, among other minor factors. Venus doesn't have any of those characteristics, thus being inhabitable for life.
6. Jupiter’s Great Red Spot(GRS) is an atmospheric storm that has been raging in Jupiter’s southern Hemisphere for at least 400 years. 7. Because the atmosphere of Saturn is too violent, with winds raging at above 1000mph. The Spacecraft will also be crushed if it travels beyond Saturn's atmosphere as the pressure is too great for the spacecraft to sustain.
