The greatest advantage of being famous is that celebrities are usually very rich so they have easier life than other people. They live in beautiful houses maintained by housekeepers, gardeners, cooks and other servants. They do not have to worry about paying bills, can afford the best clothes and drive the latest models of fast cars. What is more, they spend their holidays in expensive resorts, get the best hotel rooms and the most efficient service.

I think that also what attracts people to be a celebrity, they want to be under the spotlight, they want to shine. Of course they don;t want to be critisized, but they want to be admired.
In my mind, one of the disadvantage of being a celebrity is the lack of freedom, (such as, they cant shop at the mall without being bothered or can;t appear in public freely).
Another thing is that they have to concern about their apperences at all time, they spend hours and hours doing makeup to accomplish a perfect look, as long as they don;t look star-perfect, they might disappoint their fans. Zhao Wei once said "whenever i don;t look fine, i;m afraid to come out to face my fans and the whole world."
But being a celebrity isn;t all sunshine and buttercups. Most importantly, this popularity, which has so many advantages, has also it;s flaws. It can be very tiresome, and can really get on your nerves. A celebrity can;t go shopping, or even go out at all, because of the fact that behind every corner lurks a swarm of tireless fans, or even worse - jealous people intending to do celebrities harm.
One of the worst aspects of being famous are so called "Paparazzi", reporters, following celebrities with cameras in their hands, all set out to take a picture of famous people, most preferably compromising one. But in spite of all this flaws, I still think it;s way better to be famous than not. In my opinion, advantages and disadvantages of being famous don;t depend on celebrity but on people who surround him or her.
