Are you after some challenges or on adrenaline buzz? Well then, extreme tourism or shock tourism, as it is called, is definitely for you. Extreme tourism is a kind of tourism which involves traveling to dangerous places or taking part in dangerous events or sporting activities while on hliday.Bungee jumping is extremely risky. Extreme tourists must be prepared to exprect the unexpected. Instead of going to an idyllic and quiet town by the sea, they go, for example, to the countries of the former Soviet Union such as Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan or to South American countries like Paru, Chile and Argentina where they spend time in jungles, deserts or former baour camps, dangerous nuclear power stations like Chernobyl or devastated, polluted urban areas. Most of the extreme holidays test people's survival skills. Extreme tourists hate being on their own. During one of such trips extreme tourists went to a Russian island where they had to survive for as long as they could without much food and any contact with the outside world. Some other people paid to spend a week at a Russian gulag whre they could work in difficult conditions. Extreme tourists also pay to flay old Russian MiG palnes over Moscow, go ice diving in Siberia, drive tanks in the Ukraine, explore active volcanoes or underwater hunting. they are so poor that they can't afford to take up extreme sports. These hildays are not as expensive as many people think and they are a growing business in a lot of less wealthy countries. Interested?
