1. The song entitled 'Imagination' by Shawn Mendes tells about a teenage boy who falls for or is into a girl who lives in his neighbourhood (She could be his next door neighbour) but he seems to have no courage to tell her how he feels. He merely imagines himself with her. 2. The impression I have from this song is that it's a typical puppy love in a teenage life. A boy, fired up with hormones, is so fond of the girl that he had an imagination of them holding hand-in-hand till kissing her. Unfortunately, that is what seems to happen in reality as the phrase 'in my dreams you're with me....' is stated and in the last part of the chorus, it is inferred by the rhetorical question 'or is that just me and my imagination?'. Overall, it's a happy song on a surface and ironically sad within. 3. The moral value of this song for the youth can be seen from different perspectives. The easy and more common one would be telling how you feel about her/him if you like that person. The other one would be that you have to live by reality, not carried away by imagination, unless you want to make a fiction, story, song or poem as that's one necessary element in creating such literary work. Another point of view, which might be slightly unusual would be to keep imagining what you want as long as you know the limit. Imagination is what makes us human but never be obsessed with it till you feel depressed as you haven't been able or aren't able to make it true. Imagination makes you creative but it would be unwise if you let it control your life.
