I've recently taken part in a student exchange programme. It took place in the UK since at school our teacher mostly teaches us British English. We went to London, so to the very centre of England!
I wanted to take part in this exchange programme because, firstly, I didn't have enough of English speaking practise. By speaking to natives in London, it would change instantly, and it did! Secondly, it was cheaper than usual school trips. That was an amazing opportunity for me.
When we got there, first few days we were sightseeing, we went to the London Eye, to Madame Touissant Museum, then we saw Big Ben and this is how we spent first few days - walking around. In the third day we went to meet our new friends from London High School. My host was Emily, she has lived in London all her life! We were talking a lot with her and her family, at first, I found it hard to communicate, but then it got better and better.
After all, I'm happy that I took part in this exchange. I learnt a lot and now I can speak English effortlessly! You need to try it as well!
