Wyjaśnienie:
Generalna zasada jest taka, że say nie wymaga dopełnienia, natomiast tell tak.
Jeśli po luce widzisz her/him lub jakieś imię – wstaw tell.
Jeśli po luce nie widzisz nic – wstaw say. Do say również możesz zastosować dopełnienie (choć nie trzeba) – w tym wypadku musi być "to". Taka sytuacja występuje w przykładach B2 i C2. Są też utarte związki z tell np. tell the way, tell the truth.
