8.1- I prefer summer holidays. Summer is my favorite season. There is so much to do in the summer. I can go swimming, I can go hiking and camping, I can go biking, etc. I like warm weather and I like to wear summer clothes.

8.2- I like to go to the seaside more than to the mountains. I like to swim in the sea, play in the sand, sunbathe in the sun, surf in the wind.

 

9.1- I think the people are leaving the train because they are walking slowly and they’re talking to each other. They’re holding drinks in their hands and they’re smiling. People who are trying to catch a train are in a hurry and have no time to smile and talk.

 

9.2-My favorite means of transport on holiday is the train. It’s fast but I can still see the countryside.

 

9.3- My mother told me about the worst train journey she had. This was 30 years ago and she was traveling by train from Poland to Czechoslovakia. The journey was only supposed to be 5 hours long but it took 18 hours. The train spent 13 hours standing at the border. The customs officials didn’t do anything. They just sat and talked. And the train just sat and waited. The passengers were very upset.
