Mum and Dad- Tunisia is a very hot country in the summer! The whole time I was there, it was 45-50 C. I took a trip into the Sahara Desert. It was great to see so much sand everywhere. It was like an ocean of sand. I ate a lot of dates and olives, and I drank a lot of beer. Tunisian beer is light. I stayed in a cheap hotel. There were snakes and bugs there. So disgusting!
When I went for a walk from my hotel, I met a guy named Mohammad and we had a nice conversation in English. His family had a camel and he took me on a camel ride into the desert. It was fantastic. Getting on and getting off the camel was the best part. Mohammad gave me a scarf to protect my eyes from the sand. I have bought you scarves like that too as a souvenir. I hope you'll like it.
