Why does being overweight make people feel bad about themselves?
I have a self esteem issue due to my weight and I know that many people feel bad about their weight too. Is it because of the media and celebrities? I know that being obese or overweight is unhealthy but it isn’t the ‘unhealthy’ factor that makes people ashamed of themselves. It is obvious that if you eat more than you use you will add fat to your body, its a simple equation so what is with the stigma when it’s really not that big of a deal?
