A few years ago I experienced a hilarious situation. I went abroad.  I haven’t been to England before and I was really excited about going there. I was much younger and I didn’t speak English well. There was a shop under my uncle’s apartment and I decided to see what there was. It turned out that some old man was trying to get rid of things which weren’t of any use for him. There was a golden watch that drew my attention. I really wanted to have it and I decided to buy it. That old man told me that it cost 20 £ but  unfortunately I heard that it was 12£ . I was in a hurry and when he went to other room I left 12 £ on a table and left the shop. I was walking down a street when I heard somebody screaming. It was that old man! He started to chase me and at the same time I started running away. I realised that I was supposed to pay him more! When I think of it I can’t help laughing. It’s kind of funny.  It wasn’t actually my fault. I was 14 years old and I couldn’t understand everything people were saying. That's why it's worth learning foreign languages.
