He was born on August 21, 1988 in Warsaw. His father was a judo champion and mother - a volleyball player. His sister also plays volleyball.
He started playing football in 1996,when he was 8 years old, for Partyzant Leszno. One year later he moved to MKS Varsovia, where he stayed until 2004. In 2005, when he was 17 years old, he was employed by Legia Warszawa, but his real skills started showing from 2006, when he started playing for znicz Pruszków.
