Robert Lewandowski is a Polish professional football player.
At the moment Robert Lewandowski plays as a striker for Bundesliga club - Bayern Munich, and is the captain of the Poland national team. His skills and achievements gained him international fame.
He was born on August 21, 1988 in Warsaw. His father was a judo champion and mother - a volleyball player. His sister also plays volleyball.
He started playing football in 1996,when he was 8 years old, for Partyzant Leszno. One year later he moved to MKS Varsovia, where he stayed until 2004. In 2005, when he was 17 years old, he was employed by Legia Warszawa, but his real skills started showing from 2006, when he started playing for znicz Pruszków. He scored 38 goals in 2 years for them. His next team was Lech Poznań (from 2008) with 32 goals, from where in 2010 he moved abroad, to play for Borussia Dortmund (74 goals in 4 years).
