Put the verbs in brackets into the past simple.
a) I ... (feel) scared. I ... (not/know) what to do. People .... (start) to run and scream but I ... (not/can) move.
b) It...(not/take) long to realise it was an earthquake. We quickly....(grab) a few things and...(rush) outside the hotel.
c) The sky...(become) grey and cloudy and it....(start) to rain. Steve...(try) to radio for help but the radio .... (not/work). We....(be) scared to death.
