I chose the first theme - why do so many young people learn English - because it is a topic in which I am able to say a lot. People are learning a lot of different languages, but what do you think – which one is the most important? Is it French or maybe English? Perhaps Spanish?
Firsly, young people learn English because it is the international language. In each country (there are few exceptions) you’re able to communicate with other people who does not know your language. You don’t need to know all languages - English is enough as it’s international language.
Secondly, you’ve more chances to get a work. People who know very well English and they’re able to use it, they’ve an enormous chance to find a good-paid job, for example, abroad.
What's more, learning English is for many young people a priority when they face important choices in theirs life. The ability to communicate in English opens up new horizons, helps in getting to know people, increases the comfort of traveling. Additionally, through the knowledge of another language you become more intelligent.
In conclusion, I believe that it is very good that young people learn english - and more importantly they want do this. Without hard work, nothing will be gained, and the lack of own individual contribution for learning won’t produce results. Young people want to move out to countries where they’ll have future. I think I’ve mentioned many good arguments why young people learn English.
