in general, do you believe city-dwellers have a higher standard of living than those in countryside? why?/why not?

Yes, I do believe that city-dwellers have a higher standard of living than those in countryside. Citizens can benefit from better municipal services. In most of towns there are more than one hospital or police stations. Next advantage is urban transport. When living in a city, people can go almost everywhere in town in a flash. Cities have also more jobs to offer, because of their complexity. Of course big cities have disadvantages like air pollution, or traffic but generally cities are better to live in.
