It is with regret that I have to write to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the results of renovation works in our building. On February 10th your maintenance man visited us very early in the morning to inform that a group of workers need to use our flat to access the chimney shaft. As we had to leave for work we were forced to let them use our flat unattended.
Although the maintenance man assured us that nothing would be damaged or stolen, we experienced a nasty surprise when we came back home. The door and windows were opened and there was nobody inside. Quite apart from the fact that there was freezing cold, there was also a good chance of burglary.
What is more, our furniture and carpets are completely damaged. All the carpets are dirty. Cupboards and tables present plenty of deep scratches. Furthermore, one of my external data discs seems to be missing. It was not extremely worthy or important, but still it was my property. I feel I should report it to the police as I suspect it has been stolen.
I insist that my family receive a full refund of the cost we have to bear due to this situation. I must warn you that unless this matter is resolved at once I will not hesitate to take legal action. I hope you will look into this situation as a matter of some urgency.
