The Urban Farming Movement is trying to plant gardens in unused urban places. In these lots people can plant flowers and vegetables. People can grow their own food, learn about healthy eating, and increase the diversity of foods that they eat.

 

They want people to grow flowers, spices, and vegetables. Vegetables include tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, peppers, etc.

 

It can help communities because people pay more attention to what they eat, because people don’t use chemicals to grow their own food, because people get out of their homes and move, because people can socialize with each other, and because people are busy doing something useful and not getting in trouble.
