Home matches without the presence of opposing supporters that ended in defeat were the first trigger of tragedy. The supporters' club's promise of zero incidents, let alone riots, was empty in the end.

However, the tear gas used by the police to quell the riot was the most fatal thing that made the biggest tragedy in the history of Indonesian and even world football happen.

At the Kanjuruhan Stadium, the panic caused by the riot was doused with a solution that saddened the eyes and even suffocated the breath, making thousands of spectators move simultaneously to save themselves, running, jostling, colliding, squeezing, and finally clogged at the stadium exit.

Those who collapsed did not receive immediate help, but instead were trampled on the paths and locations that suffered from the panic and pain of chemical solutions that have even been banned from use on the battlefield.
