Titik potong antara garis y = 2x+8 dan parabola Y = X2+2x-1 adalah.......

y = x² + 2x - 1     ;   y = 2x + 8
           x² + 2x - 1 = 2x + 8
x² + 2x - 2x - 1 - 8 = 0
                   x² - 9 = 0
        (x + 3) (x - 3) = 0
        x + 3 = 0     atau   x - 3 = 0
             x = - 3    atau        x = 3
untuk x = - 3  ---> y = 2.(- 3) + 8
                           y = - 6 + 8
                           y = 2    titik potong (- 3 , 2)
untuk x = 3  -----> y = 2.(3) + 8
                           y = 6 + 8
                           y = 14    titiik potont (3 , 14)
jadi titik potong kedua garis adalah : (- 3 , 2) dan (3 , 14)
