Then the lord came to the door. He ask who was there and heard a voice that came from the ground and talked about how small Issumboshi was and he asked him why did he want to meet him. Issumboshi asked him to let him be his retainer and the lord doubted that and he wondered if Issumboshi's small body could do anything. Issumboshi then said he would stay in the lord's pocket and guard him from all harm. When Issumboshi said so, a bee came buzzing by. Issumboshi yelled loudly and stab the bee. The lord was amazed by his act and said he would like to employ him and it would be good if he became the Princess' man
