Si x+y=10 y xy=20, calcula x² +y²

Haber... por productos notables tenemos lo sgte.
(x + y)^2 = x^2 + y^2 + 2xy
Ahora reemplazamos los datos:
(10)^2 = x^2 + y^2 + 2(20)
100 - 40 = x^2 + y^2
60 = x^2 + y^2

Recuerda:

(a ± b)² = a² ± 2ab + b² ............ "Binomio al cuadrado"


De tal modo, tendremos que:

(x+y)² = x² + 2xy + y²

pero: x+y = 10    ; xy = 20 , asi que reemplazando tendremos que:

10² = x² + 2(20) + y²

100 = x² + 40 + y²

100 - 40 = x²  + y²

60 = x² + y²  ←  RESPUESTA
