Si x = y + 1, entonces x² – 2(y + 1)² = ?


Se que la respuesta es -x². Pero no se como es el procedimiento.

Transformamos :
x= y+1
x-1 = y

y luego reemplazamos x-1 en y :

x² – 2(y+1)² =
x² – 2( x-1 +1)² = x² – 2(x)² = x² - 2x² = -x²
