When and where was he/she born?
Galileo Galilei was born in Pisa, now northern Italy, on February 15th 1564.
Where did he/she live?
Galileo Galilei lived most of his life in what is now Italy. He was born in Pisa, and he lived there until he was about 10 years old. Over the years, he made his home in Florence, Vallombrosa, Siena, Rome, and Pisa again.
Where and what did he/she study?
In 1574, at the age of 10, Galileo's family sent him to the monastery of Santa Maria di Vallombrosa, near Florence, because his father wanted him to study medicine (a well-paying profession). But Galileo was interested in mathematics. At the age of 17, he entered the University of Pisa to study medicine, as his father wished, but then changed his major from medicine to mathematics and physics.

His most famous discovery was Jupiter and it's largest four moons.Why was this important?It inspired people like the dutch scientist Christiaan Huygens and Isaac Newton. Its important to know what is going on in the universe because it could help us figure out 1. why the universe is the way that it is and 2. what will later happen to the universe that could alter the way we live.When, where and how did he/she die?Galileo died a natural death in the year 1642. He was 88 years old and was serving his life imprisonment sentence in Arcetri when he died.
