Bumble bee

Bumblee or also written as bumble bee is any member of genus Bambus in the family Apidae. There are over 250 species. They are over 250 species. They are found primarily in higher latitude or at higher altitude in The Northern Hemisphere. However, they also occur in South America. There are lso a few lowland tropical species. They are also somon in New Zealand and Tasmania.

Bumblebees are social insect. They form colonies with a single queen. Their colonies are smaller than honey bees' colonies with fewer than 50 individuals in a nest. Female bumblebees can sting repeatedly but usually ignore humans and other animals.

Bumblebees have round bodies with soft hair. They have bright coloration, a combination of black, yellow, orange/red and white. Bumblebees feed nectar. They use their long hairy tongues to lap up the liquid.

Bumblebees gather pollen to feed their young. They are important agricultural pollinators so people are concerned about the decline in bumblebees' population.
