Sundials are very interesting because people can still use them to tell the time. They look like clocks but with and hand that points up at the sky. They tell the time because as the Earth circles around the Sun, the Sun moves to different places in the sky. The Sun then hits the hand on the sundial and makes a shadow. This is how we know the time. There are many amazing sundials in the world. The largest one is the Sundial Bridge in Reeding, California. Its tall mast makes a shadow on the sundial at the northern end of the bridge and so shows the time.
