Perintahnya membuat pertanyaan sesuai dengan jawaban yg dicetak tebal. Soal yg ditanyakan terkait penggunaan "Simple past" dan "Past continuous."

Past simple digunakan untuk menyatakan kejadian yang telah berlangsung pada waktu tertentu di waktu lampau.

Keterangan waktu yang sering digunakan "last night, yesterday, two weeks ago."

Pola:

(+) S+Verb2+O

(-) S+did+not+verb1+O

(Y/N) Did+S+verb1+O ?

(WH) WH. word+did+S+verb1+ROTS?

Contoh:

(+) They watched the movie last week.

(-) They didn't watch the movie last week.

(Y/N) Did they watch the movie last week?

Past continuous digunakan untuk menyatakan kejadian sifatnya sementara dan sedang berlangsung ketika kejadian lain muncul pada waktu tertentu di masa lampau.

Pola:

(+) S+was/were+Verb-ing+ROTS

(-) S+was/were+not+Verb-ing+ROTS.

(Y/N) Was/were+S+Verb-ing+ROTS?

(WH) WH. words+was/were+S+Verb-ing+ROTS?

Contoh:
