Avril Lavige was born on 27 september 1984 in Ontario , Canada. She began writing and playing music at an early age and managed to win ta trip to New York. There she met Antonio Reid of Arista Records who offered her a contract. That's when Avril's musical dreams came true!
Avril decided to go Los Angeles in the USA. She worked hard and recorded her first album Let go and released it in June 2002. That year it sold over 4.1 million copies in the USA.
By February 2003 her single I'm With You was at the top of the charts. Then in May 2004 Avril released a new album Under My skin . That same year , she had another number one single , My Happy Ending, which quickly went platinum in January 2005. Avril is one of the most talented singers of all time. After selling over 14,000.000 albums, everyone is amazed at her success. I am sure. I am sure that her music will last forever.
