The idea to builda tunnel across the English Channel first appeared at the beginning of the nineteenth century during the region of Napoleon. However, when the war between England and France started, it was impossible to continue working on the project. After the war, in 1875, the plan to connect Great Britan with the Continent was discussed again but, in fact, 1) ........................ so nobody wanted to invest their money in this risky business.
