Nowadays young people are increasingly living away from their parents before they get married. Although some people will disagree with me, I believe that this is a positive trend.

 

Living alone offers young people several advantages. Most importantly, they can understand who they really are. When they are on their own and they are not influenced by their family, they can learn to form their own opinions.

 

Second, they must take care of themselves without help. If they live by themselves, they learn to cook, do laundry, and keep their flats clean because nobody else will do it for them.

 

Third, they can learn to live on a budget. They can only spend the money they have. They cannot ask their parents for money if they run out, so they learn to be responsible.

 

Finally, they can start dating without their parents’ interference. This way, young people can focus on each other and their own feelings. They don’t have to worry about making mistakes and bringing home the “wrong guy.” It happens quite frequently that young people disagree with their parents’ opinions and because of that, their attachment to another person increases. They stay with the “wrong guy” just to oppose their parents. However, if the parents are not there to express an opinion, young people can listen to their own feelings and make their own mistakes.

 

Of course, the young should stay in touch with their parents and if there are serious problems, they should ask them for help.
