SHOPPING IN CRACOW
Cracow is very popular place to visit for tourists. In the end of journey they want to buy any gifts for friends. Usually, they go to shopping centres, where they can fild lots of and well souvenirs.
Galeria Krakowska is most popular shopping centre in Krakow. It was opened in 2006. The cost of building this shopping centre (with Andel’s hotel) was about 250 million euro! Today, you can find there almost 300 shops situated on three levels. It’s localized near Old Town, five minutes from Main Square on foot. You can get there by bus or tram, too.
Bonarka City Center is the biggest shopping centre in Central Europe, localized in old district of Krakow – Podgórze. Years ago there was a Cement Factory. However it polluted beautiful landscape of Podgórze. It caused the factory was finally closed in 2003 and Bonarka City Center was build just there. Today, you can find there lots of shops situated on 91 000 m2, the biggest cinema in Poland and more than 3 000 parking places.
The transport in Krakow is as well as shopping centres. The Cracow Fast Tram system (called KST) is tram system connecting northern and southern parts of Cracow. One of tram stop is connected with Galeria Krakowska and Krakow Główny station. Currently there are 2 lines of KST in operation.
