8. They took Biggs to Barbados by yacht. The court released him, because the kidnapping had been illegal.
9. Biggs returned to Rio where he had a son born by a Brazilian woman. This protected Biggs from deportation.
10. Eventually in May 2001 after 30 years on the run Biggs went back to England.
