Użyliśmy tutaj strony biernej (ang. Passive Voice). W zdaniu w stronie biernej skupiamy się na efekcie, a nie na jego wykonawcy. Zasadniczo, aby stworzyć stronę bierną zamieniamy podmiot z dopełnieniem. Przykład:

• Somebody has stolen my wallet!
• My wallet has been stolen!

Jak widać w pierwszym zdaniu skupiamy się na wykonawcy (podmiocie), zaś w drugim na efekcie.
