Dear Mark,

thanks for your letter. It's good to hear you're doing fine. Sorry for the late reply but I've been pretty busy recently.

As you probably know, I took my exams one month ago. It turned out I had the best score! I'm so happy that I'm going to throw a party. Too bad you can't come.

So many things have been happening lately that one letter is not enough to describe them all. My sister is pregnant, so, as you can probably imagine, everybody is very excited and we're busy preparing the baby's room.
