One's of my best films is ,Awakenings'. It is drama film based on Oliver Sacks's memories.The action takes place in 1973 in a funny farm.It tells the true story of British neurologist,fictionalized as American Malcolm Sayer.

He tries to cure people who are in a coma. He looks after many patients,however our attention is focussed on Leonard Lowe.When Leonard awakes,he is an adult. He doesn't know nothing about his origin and his family. What is more,he can't write and read. He is like a new born child.Then the neurologist helps him to adapt to modern life.

Excellent performances are given by stars Robert de Niro and Robin Williams.

,Awakenings' is my favourite film,because it is the most emotionally movie I have ever seen. It delves deeply into one of the worst human fears, losing the ability to move and function,but it's never forced or manipulative.It's just a fuscinating story that's beautifully told.And the acting is perfect. I will never forget about this film.
