Osoba dzwoniąca była świadkiem przestępstwa, należy spytać i podać opis przestępcy, zachowanie, co ukradł, czy byli inni świadkowie, gdzie to się zdarzyło i o której. Raczej prostym słownictwem i na 7-9 wymian zdań. Należy zacząć od policjanta, może studzić emocje i tak dalej.
A: 997 police headquarters.
B: I would like to report a theft.
A: Ok. What's happened?
B: I've just been shopping in my local supermarket and I saw a shoplifter.
A: Do you remember how does the shoplifter look like?
B: He was an old man with really strange long hair. He was wearing a black coat. I've seen this man before. I think he's living in our neighbourhood.
A: What did he shoplift?
B: It was an expensive watch. His behaviour was very suspicious.
A: Are there any other witnesses?
B: I'm afraid not.
A: Ok. What time did it happen?
B: Around three o'clock.
A: Ok. Thank you. We'll take care about that.
B: Thank you, goodbye.
A: Goodbye
Witness: Yes, I've just witnessed a robbery in the shop! You should come here quickly!
Policeman: Calm down, can you give me some details first? What did the robber look like? What did they take?
Witness: It was a young tall man, he was hooded so I couldn't see his face properly but I think he had a beard. He was wearing jeans and a blue jacket, so he could be easily spotted. He stole a laptop and three mobile phones, I think.
Policeman: Have you noticed him before? Was his behaviour suspicious? And has anyone else seen this situation?
Witness: Of course, I'm here with at least two more people who can confirm everything! He's been looking around quite nervously before he quickly grabbed the things and started running away. You really should come here and try to catch him!
Policeman: As I said, you need to be calm and stay where you are. Tell me when it happened and where the shop is located.
Witness: It happened about ten minutes ago, it's on the Turnmill Street, here in London.
Policeman: Alright, I'll be there in a few minutes.
