Stanisław Kostka of the coat of arms oak wood (given birth most probably in December 1550 in Rostkowie by Przasnysz, 15 August 1568 died in Rome) - Polish Jesuit, saint Catholic, patron of Poland.

He was Jan's son, of castellan Zakroczymski, and Małgorzata's from Krysk, coming from Grain. Stanisław was the second child. He had Paweł's his elder brother and two of younger siblings, brother and sister . He was baptized in the parish church in Przasnysz. To 14 years parents taught him, and then Jan Biliński was his teacher (Bieliński).
At the age of 14 with the his elder brother he became Paweł sent to Jesuit schools in Vienna. Stanisław combined the learning and the religious life. In December 1565 heavily he fell ill. He had a vision then, in which St Barbara with two angels brought him the Holy Communion. He had also a second vision, in which the Mother of God with the baby Jesus is bending over it and is submitting the Baby into shoulders to him. Completely a healthy person stood up in the morning.
