Bialowieza National Park - national park located in north-easternPolish, in Podlaskie, formed from the Forestry Reserve as aNational Park in Bialowieza in force from 11 August 1932 yearsof the Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform , andreinstated in its present form under Regulation Council of Ministers of 21 November 1947 . The second after "in the Pieniny National Park"  national park in Poland and one of the first national parks in Europe. Known for the protection of the bestpreserved part of the Bialowieza Forest, Europe's last fragmentof primeval forest and several hundred pieces, the world's largestlibertarian bison population .
By the management of the park is the Bialowieza. Currently, thepark consists of three administrative units: Obręb Orłówkaprotective, protective Obręb Hwoźna and Bison Breeding Centre(with three reserves for breeding and Bison DemonstrationReserve) .
Strictly Protected Area of the BNP in 1979 because of significant importance for culture and heritage of mankind, inscribed on theprestigious UNESCO World Heritage List. In 1992, UNESCOhas extended world heritage status for the object adjacent to it on the east portion of the Belarusian national park "BieławieżskajaForest", which is subject to strict protection (4500 ha). This created in the Bialowieza Forest one of the seven in the world and three European cross-border World Heritage Site.
