Hurray. It's my birthday today! Went to a department store in Oxford Street and found a real bargain - a cream knit jumper (latest fashion!) for only 19.99!
Next visited Marks and Spencer. They has a special offer on boots: buy 3 pairs, get one for free. In Gap* met Alice and we spent almost an hour in the changing room trying on pink and blue tops. Shoppin is murder! Alice took me to Next* and I spotted a lovely pencil skirt, just my size. It fitted me perfectly so grabbed it before I changed my mind. Had to pay by credit card - I didn't have any cash left.
Had a quick lunch with Alice and we went to French Connection*. Didn't want to buy anything (enough is enough even on my birthday!) and was only browsing, without any idea of what I wanted, when this cute shop assistant came up to me and asked in his seductive low voice, "Can I help you madam?" and I ended up getting another skirt and a white cotton shift for only 32 (reduced from 65). Funny, I always thought white didn't suit me. End of day, end of birthday and end of shopping. Pam popped in and said I need help. And she definitely needs new shoes.
