Jay Sean (born Kamaljit Singh Jhooti March 26, 1983 year) is a British-Asian singer, songwriter pop and r'n'b. So far released three studio albums and many singles. The most popular is the "Down" in a duet with Lil Wayne. He was born in Southall, which is adjacent to London. His parents emigrated to Jhelum (now Pakistan), then to India and finally returned to Britain. Jay graduated from Sir George Monoux College and then enrolled at the Queen Mary University of medical direction, but abandoned his studies for music.W 2003 roku Jay Sean wraz z Juggy D oraz Rishi Rich zadebiutowali utworem "Dance with You (Nachna Tere Naal)". Utwór dotarł do pierwszej dwudziestki notowania brytyjskiego, co spowodowało wydanie debiutanckiego albumu Me Against Myself oraz kolejnych utworów: "Eyes On You" i "Stolen".
