✍ This year's summer holidays were an amazing period of time to me. I graduated from university in June after a three-year-long course of study, and at the same time it’s been three years since I last went on holiday. It was my birthday in the first week of July. I decided to celebrate that day with my friends and planned on throwing a party, but my family sprang a surprise on me. Everyone knew I had always longed to see my favourite singer, Lana Del Rey, perform live, and on the day of my birthday that dream finally came true. They bought the tickets for the show for me and an accompanying person. My best friend, who is also a keen follower of Lana, went with me. We were both elated. When we got to the music hall, we were seated in the VIP section. The tickets cost a fortune! After all, you turn 18 only once in your lifetime. Lana sang her most renowned songs like “Young and Beautiful”,, “Born to die”, “High by the beach”, “Love”, and many other hits. Lana's stage fright, which she sometimes gets, makes her sound even more beautiful. I love the idea of live concerts. I didn't know they were that much better than the original audio tracks. Lana is the most emotional singer I have ever heard, her voice is extraordinary. I will never forget my eighteenth birthday. Two weeks after the concert my family and I arranged a trip to the city of Władysławowo which is a seaside resort. I didn't suppose the weather would be so brilliant! It was really warm and we could literally feel summer in the air. The weather was favourable so we could relax, sunbathe and swim in the sea on a daily basis. I’m looking forward to next year’s holidays.
