Nie bardzo rozumiem treść tego polecenia, ale spróbuję zainscenizować coś w miarę rozsądnego.

 

When one needs to prepare something to eat, a couple of things would be needed. For instance, if you want to make sandwiches, you are going to need a blunt (=tępy) knife to spread butter, some bread slices, spices, lettuce and so on; however, if you're up to prepare a soup, you'll need vegetables, some special soup doodads and - naturally - a stove. It all depends on the sort of food you want to prepare, really.
