Avril Lavigne was born in 1984 in Napanee,Canada. She knew she wanted to be a singer when she was a little girl. First she learnt to play the guitar. Then she started to write songs. She was only 12! One day she was in a studio writing songs when somebody saw her and she got a contract to make records for Arista. In 2002 she released her firs CD,called "Let Go". It sold milions of copies around the world. Next she went on a tour of the world. After the tour she relesed a DVD of the concerts,called ''My World". Two years later she released another CD, "Under My Skin".
