Warsaw is a city full of astonishing contrasts and it never ceases to amaze with its magnitude of dimensions and themes, which are there to be discovered, absorbed and understood by the inquisitive.

Warsaw is home to some of the largest corporations serving business or conducting financial activities and to the largest legal companies operating in Poland. Warsaw hosts Stock Exchange and the headquarters of the most commercial banks operating in Poland and is also the location of main offices of the largest transport and shipping companies.

Although the beginnings of Warsaw go as far back as the 12th and 13th century Warsaw was forced to completely rebuild after the near-total destruction of the city during World War II. The symbol of the capital’s rebirth was an unprecedented post-war re-creation of the Old Town, which in 1980 was put on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites, as an example of a nearly complete reconstruction of the original settlement using original town plans and architecture.
