ColmaI love Italian food in general, but pizza is my favorite. I have only been in Italy once, but I keep dreaming about going there again this summer to eat more pizza! In the meantime, I like making homemade pizza. This is the recipe I use:
Pizza dough - what you need: - 1 cup of water - 2.5 cups of flour - 1.5 teaspoons of dry active yeast - 1 teaspoon of salt - 1.5 tablespoon of olive oil - 0.75 teaspoon of sugar
Making the dough: - mix warm water with yeast in a large bowl, let it dissolve (abour 4 minutes) - stir the yeast, and let it foam. - mix flour, olive oil, salt, sugar, and yeast together. - knead the dough. - put the dough in a warm place, and leave it there for an hour. - preheat the stove to 230 degrees Celcius - divide dough into two parts (each of them will form a pizza) - flatten dough and put it on a pan - spread tomato souce or olive on dough - put any toppings you like (cheese, chopped mushrooms, ham, herbs) - put the pizza in the oven - bake for 15 minutes
