’ve got many photos of my childhood and a lot of them remind me of Aneta. We attended the same primary school and we became friends straightaway. Aneta was extrovert and outgoing. She had many friends and she was rather rebellious and careless. She neglected her study and she preferred going to discos to learning. She had long blond hair and sparkling blue eyes. She was slim and tall. She looked much older than she really was. Although we had different personalities and interests we spent a lot of time together. But when we were 16 everything changed. We went to different schools and we didn’t have time for meetings during the week. She became withdrawn and she never wanted to talk about her problems- she had bad marks and sometimes she took drugs. Two weeks after her parents had divorced, she escaped from home. The police found her at a railway station in Warsaw three months later. When I visited her she was crying and told me that her life was over because she was pregnant. I spent every day with her because I knew that she needed my support. In February she gave a birth to a lovely girl, whom she named Karolina. Nowadays Aneta says that she made mistakes and she received a second chance. She had to give up her previous lifestyle, but she’s able to do everything for her daughter who’s really changed her life and personality. Aneta is cheerful, reasonable and responsible. She combines being a perfect mother with an excellent student.
