Japan is an island in East Asia and it has the most beautiful geographical lands and I would love to see such an amazing place one day. Located in the Pacific Ocean it lies to the east of the sea of Japan, China, north Korea,South Korea and Russia, stretching from the sea of okhotsk in the north to the east china sea and taiwan in the south. Japan is an archipelago of 6,852 islands. The land area of Japan is 378,000 square kilometers, which is one twenty-fifth that of the United States (a little smaller than California), one-twentieth that of Australia, and 1.5 times that of Britain. Three-quarters of the country is mountainous, with plains and basins covering the remaining area. More than 99 percent of the population speaks Japanese as their first language.
I have read and studied a lot about Japanese culture in books and the internet. I want to get the first hand experience by visiting the “Land of the rising sun” itself. Japanese food is delicious as well. My favourite food is sushi, I have tried it in restaurant called “Miyabi”. In Japan most of the food is prepared and the same way it’s been done in years and I am sure it tastes loads better over there made using 100% fresh ingredients.
My favorite thing about Japan is the mentality of the Japanese people. Japan is a very isolated country. The people keep to themselves and they are very polite. When the Japanese do something they devote themselves fully in it to achieve perfection .They are good at satisfying their customers, while specializing in convenience. It is typical in Japan to see a vending machine that sells clothes, or a person greeting you at a store entrance. Instead of shaking hands with people they bow which helps the germs to stop spreading from hand to hand which for us is a bit weird.
Japanese culture has evolved greatly from its origins. Contemporary culture combines influences from Asia, Europe and North America. Traditional Japanese arts include crafts such asceramics, textiles, swords and dolls; performances and rakugo; and other practices, the tea ceremony, ikebana, marital arts, origami, caligraphy, onsen, geisha and games.
The country has four well-defined seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Two of the most beautiful sights in Japan are the cherry blossoms in spring and the vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows of the autumn leaves. The Japanese people enjoy these signs of the changing seasons and track their progress with weather reports, which feature maps showing where the spring blossoms and autumn leaves are at their best. The far north and south of Japan have very different climates. In March, for example, you can go sunbathing in the south and skiing in the north!
The country often suffers such serious natural disasters as typhoons, volcanic eruptions, and earthquakes. Although these disasters can claim many lives, as in the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake of January 1995 and the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 2011, the Japanese have been working hard for years to minimize their damage. Japan uses state-of-the-art technologies to design quake-resistant structures and to track storms with greater precision.
When I visit Japan I would like to see Tokyo in which from from April through May, sakura or cherry trees start blossoming across the country, and lively parties are held underneath the pretty blossoms.
I would also like to visit Hiroshima in Western Honshu which is known around the world as the city which was destroyed by the world's first atomic bomb on August 6, 1945. Every year, millions of visitors come to the city to pay their respects in the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and the Peace Memorial Museum.
Japan is a company ruled by law. Various things in our lives are specified in laws and there are lots of things that are prohibited by laws but I am sure I will be ok visiting this country.
