The village was first mentioned in a document in Latin Liber fundationis episcopatus Vratislaviensis (pol. Book salaries Bishopric of Wrocław), written at the time of Bishop Henry of Wierzbna in the years 1295-1305 as Gorki (i) villa vlodari [2] [3] [4].
